Working for Health deliver workshops exclusively for our members, volunteers and staff. Providing an opportunity to learn and develop skills and confidence in a welcoming and safe space.

Our Workshops

We provide sessions to help with getting and keeping work, as well as creative and wellbeing activities. These are designed to help us to achieve our goals and promote good mental health and wellbeing.

Each workshop or series of sessions will be led by staff and volunteers. Groups will be small and welcoming.

Learning styles and needs will always be taken in to account. If you have any questions about delivery methods or need to notify us of an adjustment you may need, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to have a chat and see what we can do to help.

If you are interested in applying for any of the workshops, please email admin@workingforhealth.co.uk stating which sessions you are interested in.

You will then be notified by email if you have a place on the session(s) you have requested. Places are limited and will be allocate on a first come, first served basis. Because of this, if you find you can no longer attend a session you must let us know as soon as possible so that we can allocate your place to someone else.

Welcome to our Spring 2024 prospectus. We hope you will find something tempting to enjoy. Every Monday and Friday you can join our employability hub ‘The Workplace’. April is Stress Awareness Month so come and relax with Art and Music. We have Mental Health Awareness Week in May when we’ll be running dance, Tai Chi and a Spring walk as well. Other exciting news – we’re now open in Hull! A brand new office and brand new staff are ready to welcome you.

Welcome to the first prospectus for 2024. We’re eager to get stuck in. We have our usual offerings this term from our employability hub ‘The Workplace’ every Monday and Friday.  The wide variety of wellbeing sessions to boost your confidence and get creative. Plus, our popular allotment re-opens after February half-term. The spring months can represent renewal and growth that benefits mental health. Join us at Working for Health as we find motivation, connection, and meaning during the days ahead. We look forward to supporting you on your journey of renewal this coming season.

As the days grow shorter and the weather turns crisp, we present our Autumn/Winter provision filled with engaging opportunities to brighten the darker days. The autumn months can be a time of change that impacts mental health. We remain committed to providing activities and events that connect our community and combat isolation. From creative workshops where you can connect over shared
passions, to our Tea and Talk session that offers a casual space to socialise over a warm beverage.

Welcome to our latest prospectus, where we are excited to introduce the start of spring with a range of new workshops and activities designed to help you relax, unwind, and improve your mental and physical well-being.

In response to feedback from our members, we have revamped our walking group, which now offers a wider range of routes and terrains to explore, helping you stay active and enjoy the great outdoors.

Our range of workshops, which cover everything from interview techniques to stress management, are designed to help you build confidence, improve your skills, and move towards your employment goals.

The new year is a time for new beginnings. It’s a time people often set goals and resolutions for the coming year. It’s also a time to reflect on your wellbeing, mental health and how you are feeling about yourself.  One of the most important things is to take care of your wellbeing by eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep and relaxation, and spending time with friends or family.

It’s the summer holidays!  

Unlike previous terms, we don’t run our normal prospectus over the summer. We are maintaining our vocational-based workshops over the holidays, but some of our other workshops will slightly differ in timings and frequency. We are very excited for the coming month as we will be concluding the end of August with the much anticipated TakeOver2 Festival.
