Community Led Local Development (CLLD)

The Working for Health CLLD programme is specifically designed for individuals living within the HU6 postcode area. It provides you with your own Work Recovery Coach who will provide one to one support.

 Working for Health is one of the delivery partners of the Hull CLLD programme. Working for Health a specialist team of mental health and employment specialists.

What is CLLD?

CLLD grants help people in Hull access and create local economic opportunities through five priority activities. These are – 

  • targeted training in key work related skills
  • making it easier to find and access work
  • growing integrated community hubs
  • supporting local and community businesses
  • joining up support to increase household incomes

CLLD in Hull is co-ordinated through Humber Learning Consortium.  Through working with several delivery partners, CLLD will support people that are of working age (16 years or older), unemployed or inactive in the labour market and living in West Hull and Central, East Hull, North Hull and Orchard Park and Bransholme areas.

Community-led local development (CLLD)” is a term used by the European Commission to describe an approach that turns traditional “top down” development policy on its head. Under CLLD, local people take the reins and form a local partnership that designs and implements an integrated development strategy”  (European Commission)
CLLD programme is part-fundeed by the European Social and Investment Fund
