Anthony’s Story

“At Working for Health, they provide a friendly environment where I am able to focus on the type of work I am able to do, also offering Workshops around staying healthy”Anthony | Hull

In the Beninning….

I first met the Working for Health team at the Job Fair at the Job Centre. I had a break-up with my girlfriend and been out of work for a year. I am currently doing voluntary work at Dove House and a City of Culture Volunteer.

How we helped Anthony….

With my stress and depression, I have seen various services before finding Working for Health. Counselling was invaluable at this time and I now feel a lot better. At Working for Health, they provide a friendly environment where I am able to focus on the type of work I am able to do, also offering Workshops around staying healthy. I also have met a few friends here who are in a similar situation to me. Talking really helps. I am now in a position where I feel confident to work, having an up to date C.V and gaining experience on writing personal statements.

The future….

My mind is in a better place now and feel I can move forward. After support to apply for various roles, I’ve had a few job interviews. My goal was to work in the hospitality sector, and that is what I have now achieved.
